Always wanted to try archery? Interested in starting new hobby or sport? Need to complete a physical activity as part of your Duke of Edinburgh award? Want to buy someone a unique present?
Join us in April 2026 for a four session (12 hour*) Archery Beginners’ Course where you’ll be taught all you need to know to start your journey with the sport, including shooting technique, etiquette and safety. The course is open to adults and under-18s aged nine and above.
*12 hours’ tuition is the recommendation from Archery GB / GNAS.
- All equipment is provided.
- Sessions run and supervised by experienced archers.
- Certificate upon satisfactory course completion which will allow you to join any Archery GB / GNAS affiliated club (subject to availability and payment of membership fees to that particular club).
When is it?
- Saturday 11th April, 1:30 – 4:45pm (all course participants must attend)
- Sunday 12th April, 1:30 – 4:30pm
- Saturday 18th April, 1:30 – 4:45pm
- Sunday 19th April, 1:30 – 4:30pm (final session includes a fun competition and a chance to join the club)
You must attend all sessions to pass the course.
Where is it?

How much does it cost?
Adults £80.00.
Juniors £60.00 (Juniors must be under 18 at the start of the course, over 9 and accompanied by an adult)
We will also offer a £5 discount for each additional family member.

The small print…
- All under-18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
- You must attend all sessions to pass the course.
- If the weather means that we have to cancel a session, we will reschedule for another time.
- We cannot rearrange sessions to suit individuals’ needs but will try to recover any lost time due to unexpected circumstances.
- We aim to cater for everyone interested in the sport. Therefore, prior to the course please make us aware of any disabilities or medical conditions you have which may affect your ability to shoot safely.
