Getting ready for the next beginners’ course
We’ve been busy setting up the field ready for our next beginners’ course which starts today. Here’s a picture of one of our members painting the lines to mark out the field!

Beginners’ Course – May 2019
Always wanted to try archery? Interested in starting new hobby or sport? Need to complete a physical activity as part of your Duke of Edinburgh award? Want to buy someone a unique present?
Join us in May for a seven session Archery Beginners’ Course where you’ll be taught all you need to know to start your journey with the sport, including shooting technique, etiquette and safety.
Open to adults and under-18s aged nine and above.
• All equipment provided.
• Sessions run and supervised by experienced archers and an Archery GB approved coach.
• Certificate upon satisfactory course completion
Course dates: Saturdays 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th May and Tuesdays 7th, 14th, 21st May. Saturday sessions run 2:00pm – 4:00pm, Tuesday sessions run 6:30pm – 8:00pm. You must attend all sessions to pass the course.
The course will run on the grounds adjacent to the old Cricket Pavillion at Mickleover Country Park, DE3 0UJ.
£60 per adult, £50 each for under-18s.

All under-18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
You must attend all sessions to pass the course.
We aim to cater for everyone interested in the sport. Therefore, prior to the course please make us aware of any disabilities or medical conditions you have which may affect your ability to shoot.

A great afternoon for shooting at our field near the old hospital in Mickleover!

Winter Indoor Shooting 2018-19
Indoor shooting began on 26th October at Woodlands School in Allestree.
If the winter weather isn’t for you but you want to continue to shoot, then come along and join us on Friday evenings (7pm-9pm). We’ll be shooting indoors until 29th March.
Note – no indoor shooting on 28th December.
£3 each for Pastures Company of Archers club members and £5 each for visitors (must be GNAS members), pay on the day.
